Harry Potter is a fantasy novel series written by J.K. Rowling that was also turned into a movie franchise in the 2000s. In total, there were seven novels and eight films. Both the books and the films have received high praise, and both are part of one of the most successful franchises in the world. More recently, a prequel movie series titled Fantastic Beasts has been released, which includes a younger version of Albus Dumbledore.

Back to Harry Potter, the series begins with a tragedy: the loss of Lily and James Potter. This ultimately leaves an infant Harry to be left on his Muggle aunt and uncle's doorstep, where he never learns about the world of magic until he's 11. Upon receiving his letter to Hogwarts, Harry's life changes forever. He meets several witches and wizards who knew his family, who were fighting for the same cause as they did.
