We'll Reveal Your Stranger Things Character From This Season 1 Quiz!

Stranger Things is one of the most talked-about shows of the past few years. The sci-fi series debuted on Netflix in the summer of 2016, and despite very little promotion for the show, it immediately became a smash hit. The second season hit in late 2017, and a third is currently on the way, with all eight episodes set to drop on the streaming service on July 4th. The season three trailer was recently online, which already has many excited about getting to return to the sleepy town of Hawkins, Indiana, this time in the summer of 1985.

The series follows the citizens of this small town as a portal to another dimension is opened up in the local laboratory. Meanwhile, an escaped girl with supernatural powers finds her way into a group of nerdy boys, who quickly discover that she may be the key to sealing up the portal and defeating the monster that is tormenting their town.

But before we get too excited about the upcoming season, it wouldn't be a bad idea to take a look back at how the series began. So let's make our way through some season one trivia to see which Stranger Things character we're most like!

Question 1

What game do the boys like to play?

Stranger Things is set during the 1980s – at a time when kids had to get a lot more creative when it came to entertaining themselves. Video games weren’t nearly as popular as they are today, and the Internet had yet to be invented. Therefore, the boys in the show enjoy retreating to the depth of Mike’s basement to play board games with one another. They’re particularly fond of this nerdy role-playing game. So do you know the name of this game which has been experiencing a bit of a resurgence as of late?

Question 2

What's the name of the other dimension?

The main conflict at the center of Stranger Things, is that a portal has been opened up to another dimension in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana. While only a few people know how this portal was opened, no one seems to have any idea of how to close it. This is what leads to the disappearance of Will and Barb, while also unleashing the monster on the town. While it may not have an official name, do you know what the boys end upon calling this other dimension?

Question 3

What town does the story take place?

The majority of events that take place in Stranger Things all happen in the same small town. While this town is totally fictional, the Duffer brothers did draw on real locations and towns from other stories to create theirs. For instance, it’s not hard to see how they would have been inspired from the settings of a number of Stephen King novels when it came to creating the town that’s featured in their show. So do you remember the name of the small town where everyone lives in Stranger Things?

Question 4

What nickname does Mike give Eleven?

While Eleven may not be her birth name, it’s ultimately the moniker that’s given to this character while she’s kept at Hawkins National Laboratory and exploited for her supernatural abilities. The number is even tattooed on her arm, which hints that there may be others who are just like her. So when the character meets up with Mike and his friend, Mike decided to give her a nickname as opposed to just calling her Eleven all of the time. Do you remember what that nickname is?

Question 5

What do the boys call the monster from season one?

Much like the Upside Down, the monster in Stranger Things doesn’t have an official name. However, since the boys are so fond of playing their role-playing games, they have no problem coming up with names for these things, especially the monster. In fact, this monster is the very one that they face off with during their first Dungeons & Dragons campaign in the show. So it seems very fitting that it becomes the name for the monster that is hunting Will.

Question 6

Where is the dummy body of Will discovered?

Near the middle of the first season, it seems as though Will has indeed met his demise after traveling into the Upside Down. His body is eventually found, leading everyone in the town to believe that the boy met his end. Of course, that turns out to not be the case at all, as Hopper discovers that the body was a fake. He comes to believe that the employees at Hawkins lab are up to no good and that they made it seem like Will met his demise when he is indeed still alive in the other dimension.

Question 7

What supernatural power does Eleven possess?

Right in the first episode of Stranger Things, we get a hint at what Eleven’s powers are. Later on the season, we even learn how these abilities were granted to her, as her mother was part of an experiment that had to do with psychoactive substances. However, her mother ended up being pregnant at the time and ultimately ended up passing some powers onto her daughter. Eleven’s abilities have only continued to grow throughout the series, and we’re sure there will be even more to explore in the upcoming season.

Question 8

Where does Barb go missing?

After Barb met her demise on the series, there was an unexpected outpouring of support on the Internet, with many people demanding justice for Barb. Meanwhile, Dustin continues to harbor feelings for his friend’s sister, though the awkward adolescent can’t seem to make a serious go of things. So who does Nancy choose by the end of the first season?

Question 10

What’s Eleven’s favorite food?

We never really get to see what Eleven was fed when she was stuck as an involuntary test subject as Hawkins National Laboratory. But if the conditions of her “bedroom” are an indication, the meals probably weren’t all that great. This seems especially the case when Eleven breaks out of the lab and she seems to want to eat anything she gets her hands on. This is especially true of one food in particular, which Eleven likes so much that she ends up stealing it from the local grocery store.

Question 11

Where do the boys get the name “Mirkwood” from?

Mirkwood isn’t an actual location in the town of Hawkins, Indiana. Instead, it’s simply the name that the boys give to one of the side roads, which is the location that Will ends up going missing. This is the road that meets at the intersection of Cornwallis and Kerley, and it’s where Chief Jim Hopper begins his search for Will. Knowing the boys, it’s not had to assume that they’ve taken the name from a fantasy property. So do you remember exactly where they got it?

Question 12

According to Hopper, mornings are for…

At the start of the series, Jim Hopper has a very laid back approach to his job. He is the Chief of Police in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana, where rarely anything exciting ever happens. So do you remember what club Mr. Clarke is in charge of at Hawkins school?

Question 14

What does Eleven call Dr. Brenner?

While it may seem as though Dr. Brenner met his demise at the end of season one – he is attacked by the Demogorgon, after all – certain characters have given us reason to believe that he’s actually still alive. While he does make an appearance in season two, it’s only through visions and flashbacks. So we’ll just have to wait and see if the character ends up making his return in season three. We can’t imagine that Eleven will be happy to see him, though she did refer to him by this name throughout the first season.

Question 15

What does Eleven have tattooed on her arm?

While Eleven was certainly one of the more mysterious characters at the start of the series, the show has done a good job of answering a lot of these questions right in the first season. Well, at least as normal of a life as one can have considering her past and powers.

Question 16

What does Hopper find inside the “body” of Will?

For the majority of season one, Hopper spends most of the time doubting that anything is amiss in their small town of Hawkins. He ends up breaking into the town morgue to examine the body of the boy, where he discovers that nothing is as it previously seemed.

Question 17

Which character opened the portal to the Upside Down?

There’s still a lot we don’t know about the Upside Down. While it seems to be a reflection of the town of Hawkins, Indiana, we have no idea why or how it came into existence. So do you know which character was directly responsible for this happening?

Question 18

Lucas also has a handy instrument that he brings with him, which he eventually used to fight the Demogorgon.

Question 20

What item does Dustin steal from the school cafeteria?

There seems to be one food in particular that he’s after, which he’s more than excited to share with his friends. Do you remember what this food is?

Question 21

What device do the boys use to locate the portal?

Though Dustin might seem like the biggest doofus out of the four boys, he actually seems like he’s the most science-savvy throughout the course of the first two seasons. Of course, none of the boys can actually get into the compound. Though this information still comes in handy when Hopper and Joyce set out to rescue Will.

Question 22

Question 23

What happened to Hopper’s daughter?

So what device is needed to better allow Eleven to contact Will?

And when Joyce and Hopper venture into the other dimension, they know exactly where to search for Will.

Question 34

What is Jonathan’s hobby?

At the start of the series, Jonathan is already a bit of an outcast to the other students at Hawkins school. And it certainly doesn’t help matter when his young brother goes missing.
