Rate These Grey's Anatomy Doctors And We'll Give You One To Marry

Calling all Grey's Anatomy fans! For 15 seasons now, we have watched as the doctors and surgeons of Seattle Grace Hospital save lives. Even though each and every one of them has gone through some troubling situations, they have all learned how to put their troubles aside to give the best possible care to their patients. Of course, we do not only watch to see them perform incredible surgeries, since their personal lives seem to be just as exciting as their professional ones. Today we take the time to pay tribute to some of the very best doctors we have seen walk through the doors of our beloved hospital.

This quiz is all about picking our favorites. We will be listing doctors new and old, and everyone here is going to get the chance to rate them. Some will be main characters, while others may have just played supporting roles. That being said, true fans of this show will be able to remember them all. Things could get emotional here (we are talking Grey's Anatomy after all), so maybe it would be best to pull the tissues out before getting started on the one. Anyone who can make it through this quiz, will be matched to their very own McHusband!

Question 1

Meredith Grey

Let's start this one off with our leading lady herself. Meredith has gone through a lot of stuff. Her troubles seemed to start way before our show even began. Even though we have watched her hit some real low points over the last 15 seasons, the remarkable thing about Meredith is that she always manages to bounce back stronger. Especially since her kids have been in the mix, this surgeon knows she has to keep herself together. How do we feel about her?

Christina Yang

If Meredith wasn't everyone's favorite character, maybe this next leading lady was. While she is no longer part of the series, there is no denying that once upon a time Christina Yang played one of the most important roles on the show. She and Meredith shared a friendship so special, that it would be hard to find another relationship on television that could even come close to it. All of that aside, she is also a top notch cardiothoracic surgeon!

Owen Hunt

Owen Hunt has been an important part of Seattle Grace Hospital for years now. When he first appeared, nobody quite knew what to expect. It was clear from the get go he was going to have a love interest with Christina Yang, though nobody could have guessed he would wind up being her husband. While the marriage did not work out, we have seen Owen move on and try to make it work with other women in his life. Thoughts?

Derek Shepherd

Losing Derek Shepherd was a hard thing for most fans to cope with. Not only had he been our leading man since the very first episode, but he and Meredith shared a love story for the ages. Those two were connected in a way some people will never understand. Derek also cared for his children, and had many thoughtful relationships with the people he worked with. Was he a favorite character of anyone's here? Let us know how you feel!

Jo Wilson

Jo Wilson was a later addition to the series. We had watched Alex Karev try to be a good boyfriend in many different scenarios, but for some reason or another, he always wound up with the wrong woman. That was until Jo Wilson came along as a new intern anyway. It is true that their relationship has not been perfect, but now that Jo has shared everything about her past with him, we are thinking they are in it for the long hall!

Jackson Avery

Jackson Avery came to Seattle Grace back when the hospital merged with Mercy West. The hospital had taken in many doctors during the time of this merger, though Jackson was one of only two who were kept on long term. It was unclear for a while what specialty he was going to latch on to, but after he began working with the famous Mark Sloan, it became evident that he had a real knack for plastic surgery. Thoughts on Jackson?

Question 7

Arizona Robbins

When we first met Arizona Robbins, she was the woman in charge of the entire pediatrics floor. Even though she has since switched to the specialty of prenatal surgery, there is no denying that she has a way with parents and their children. There was a time when she could be found rolling around the hospital on her wheelie sneaks, though we have not seen her bust those out in some time. Obviously after losing her leg, this became more difficult.

Question 8

Preston Burke

When season one first kicked off, Preston Burke was working as the head of the cardiothoracic department and he was next in line for the position of chief. It really looked as though he was going to be a main character through the rest of the series. However, after his engagement to Christina Yang was broken off, he left the series for good. He returned briefly years later for a single episode, in which he offered Christina her very own research hospital.

Question 9

Callie Torres

Callie Torres had her fair share of ups and downs during her time on the series. When she was first introduced, she was already an excellent orthopedic surgeon, though her personal life was all over the place. She was secretly living in the hospital, while at the same time trying to "woo" George O'Malley. She would later regret this, since after George and she married, he was quick to hop into bed with a different woman. That being said, we have also seen Callie find true love and give birth to a beautiful daughter.

Teddy Altman

Teddy Altman has recently returned to the show. During her first run on the series, it was clear that she was head over heels in love with Owen Hunt. This was a problem, because Owen was deeply in love with Christina. Teddy eventually moved on and found herself an amazing husband. Even though he was taken from her too early, she will always cherish the time she had with him. Now that she is back, she is with child and things are getting interesting!

Question 11

Alex Karev

Alex Karev is the character who we have seen develop the most since season 1. He along with Meredith Grey, are the only two original interns left working at Seattle Grace. In season 1, Alex was a real bad boy. He did not have a single friend on the surgical floor, though he was particularly friendly with many of the nurses. All of that being said, these days he is the head of the pieds department and married to the lovely Jo Wilson.

Question 12

Amelia Shepherd

Amelia Shepherd in the younger sister of Derek Shepherd. She is also a neurosurgeon just like he was. It took Amelia longer to find her passion, than it took her brother. Amelia had been plagued with many unfortunate demons, but she powered through all of them to get to where she is now. Not only is she the head of the neuro department, but she plays an active role in raising her nieces and nephews. How does everyone feel about Amelia?

Question 13

Shane Ross

Shane Ross may not have been part of the series for a very long time, but he did make quite an impact while he was. He was part of a new group of interns, and he was determined to be the next big thing in neurosurgery. However, one of his fellow interns beat him to the punch. After that and a few other troubling events, Shane eventually discovered his passion for heart surgery. When his mentor left the series, he went with her.

Question 14

Virginia Dixon

Here we have a doctor who was only ever in a couple of episodes. When Seattle Grace had been in desperate need of a new cardiothoracic surgeon, the chief at the time discovered Virginia Dixon. She had amazing references, and was truly a genius in her field. However, she also had Asperger's Syndrome. This made it difficult for her to connect with her colleagues, and made it tough for them to work by her side. She did not take the job at Seattle Grace, but she came back when they needed her assistance.

Question 15

Stephanie Edwards

Stephanie Edwards was part of the same group of interns that Shane Ross had been a part of. Stephanie was no doubt the most impressive intern that year. The residents loved working with her, and she showed great promise in multiple different specialties. She was truly a rising star. That being said, after she got caught in a scary situation at Seattle Grace, she ultimately decided to leave surgery behind. As far as we know, she is now traveling the world.

Question 16

Nathan Riggs

Here we have another doctor who was not part of Seattle Grace's staff for very long. He was a doctor from the military, and came to Seattle to mend his friendship with Owen Hunt. He had once been married to Owen's sister, but due to his poor actions, it didn't work out and Owen blamed him heavily. They did eventually managed to repair their friendship, and not too long after, Owen's sister returned and gave him another chance. The happy couple is now living is sunny Los Angeles.

Question 17

Sam Bello

Sam Bello was also not around for too long, though the role she played was an important one. She was part of a recent group on new interns, and it became clear early on that she had a past with our resident Andrew DeLuca. It took them a while, but eventually they gave their relationship another shot. However, after running a red light, Sam Bello was facing deportation. The hospital staff banned together, and found her an alternative job in Switzerland. She has not been seen since.

Question 18

Raj Sen

Here we have a rather funny character. Raj Sen works in the psychiatric ward of the hospital. The only times he is really seen, is when the surgeons are trying to steal patients from him, or when he is trying to pon patients off on the surgeons. Clearly his relationship with the surgical floor isn't the best, but when he arrives, it does usually mean it is going to be a funny scene. How does everyone feel about Raj Sen?

Question 19

Reed Adamson

Reed Adamson was another surgeon who came to Seattle Grace during the merger. She was one of the firecest in terms of doctors trying to compete for a permanent spot on the staff. She was determined to outlast everyone else, and for a while it looked as though she might have been able to do it. That being said, her hard work was all for nothing. She was the first one to lose her life when the shooter entered the hospital.

Lucy Fields

Lucy Fields was a surgeon with a lot of guts. She was one of Seattle Grace's OB-GYNs, and she had a close working relationship with pieds surgeon Arizona Robbins. Alex Karev was the up and coming pieds resident at the time, so the two of them began a back and forth. They eventually wound up in a relationship, but that pretty much ended as soon as she stole a job right out from under him. A little hard to bounce back from something like that ...

Maggie Pierce

Here we have the long lost sister of our leading lady Meredith Grey. Funnily enough, Maggie was not the first secret sister to surprise Meredith from out of the blue. Maggie is the biological daughter of Ellis Grey and Richard Webber, but she was put up for adoption and Meredith never knew she existed. Clearly she was born with the same surgical gene that Meredith was though, as she too is one of the very best ones working at Seattle Grace presently. Thoughts?

Question 22

Nicole Herman

Nicole Herman was once one of only a handful of trained prenatal surgeons. Operating on a woman's baby while it is still in her uterus, is no doubt one of the most complexe specialties out there. Nicole was the very best in her field. However, she had a huge tumor in her brain threatening her life. She trained Arizona to be just as talented as herself, to make sure her legacy would live on. Nicole did survive though, but she lost her vision.

Rebecca Swender

Rebecca Swender is a doctor we have not seen in many seasons. It is possible that she is still working at Seattle Grace, though we cannot be sure. She was the oncologist in charge of Izzie Stevens, back when it was discovered that she had skin cancer. Rebecca was a strict doctor, but she explained that it was necessary in her field of work. With her stern attitude and fearless techniques, she did manage to save Izzie. Thoughts on Rebecca?

Jason Myers

Jason Myers is one we are sure many people have an opinion on. He was part of the OB-GYN unit at Seattle Grace back when Jo Wilson began her internship. Jason and Jo started up a relationship, though it ended very badly. Things went so bad for the two of them, that Jason actually wound up in the hospital after the breakup went down. That being said, there wasn't too many people who felt bad about what had happened to him ...

Andrew DeLuca

Andrew DeLuca got off to a rough start at Seattle Grace. He was very late on his first day, and things continued to go wrong for him for a while. That being said, he did manage to outlast pretty much all of the other interns from his year. He is now one of the best residents at Seattle Grace. He is a kind doctor with excellent bedside manner, though his personal life is usually all over the place. Anyone love Andrew?

Catherine Avery

Catherine Avery is a very powerful woman indeed. Not only did she once control the prestigious Harper Avery Foundation, but after it was discovered that Harper Avery had a questionable past, she changed the name to the Catherine Fox Foundation and saved its future. She is now the majority owner of Seattle Grace Hospital, she is married to one of its top general surgeons, and her son is the head of the plastics department. Talk about being well a connected woman, right?

Question 27

Julia Canner

Julia Canner was a doctor who was never actually employed at Seattle Grace. She worked as an eye doctor for another local hospital. She began dating Mark Sloan during his final season on the show. They seemed to really get along well, and she was even banking on them having children in the near future. However, after he was in the plane crash, he told her that his heart belonged to Lexie Grey. It was an emotional episode to say the least!

Charles Percy

Charles Percy was another doctor who we sadly lost during the episode with the shooting. He had come to Seattle Grace along with the merger, but he never really stood out among the other residents at the time. Maybe if he had had more time to show his potential, things would have gone differently for him. During his final episode, he did show tremendous bravery and strength. He may be gone, but Charles Percy will never be forgotten. Any fans?

Ellis Grey

Ellis Grey was the famous mother of Meredith Grey. Of course she was also one of the biggest names in general surgery, but that was all before our series started. By the time the show kicked off, Ellis was already in a home dealing with her Alzheimer's diagnosis. Meredith would visit her often, but once Richard Webber began visiting, she no longer had much interest in seeing her daughter. This was just one more way she found to hurt her Meredith.

Erica Hahn

Here we have another surgeon who was brought in with the hopes of her becoming the hospital's next head cardiothoracic surgeon. The hospital had already gone through a few heads of this department, so by the time Erica came along, they were ready for someone who knew their stuff. She was in fact a very brilliant and skilled surgeon. However, she lacked the ability and willingness to train the interns. Since Seattle Grace was and always will be a teaching hospital, it was ever going to be a good match for her.

Heather Brooks

Heather Brooks was a quirky intern. She was not the most popular amongst her peers, though the residents and attendings did see quite a bit of potential in her. She had a real knack for rubbing people the wrong way, but when it came down to it, she was the only intern in her year with the ability to hold her own during her neurosurgery rotation. She too was unfortunately lost before she could really show what she was capable of.

Lexie Grey

Lexie Grey was the very first sister of Meredith's we got to know well. She was related to Meredith on her father's side, which made it tough for Meredith to accept her at first. Lexie had been raised by the father Meredith never knew, so naturally this caused some tension. However, after some time, Meredith warmed to Lexie and the two created a real sister bond. When Lexie was lost in the plane crash, Meredith had a very hard time coping.

Sadie Harris

Does everyone here remember Sadie Harris? Even though she did enter the series as an intern, we do not think she was ever really qualified for the job. In her first episode, we found out that she was old buddies with Meredith Grey. As excited as Meredith was about having her friend working at the hospital, she was not willing to stick her neck out for her when it was discovered that she had faked her way through medical school.

April Kepner

April Kepner joined the Hospital's staff at the same time as Jackson Avery. They were not exactly close at the time, but since they were the only two of their group to make it, they became tight allies. April eventually married Jackson, and they had a baby together. However, April always had very strong religious views, and this ultimately drove a wedge between her and Jackson. They are now divorced, but happily co-parenting their beautiful daughter. Thoughts on April Kepner?

Leah Murphy

Leah Murphy is yet another intern who did not originally have the skills necessary to make it in the surgical world. When she began her internship, she wasn't too far behind the others. However, on several occasions, she let her personal relationships distract her from her work. This wound up being her greatest flaw. She was eventually let go from the program, but came back after returning to school to work on her skills and dedication. How do we feel about Leah?

Ben Warren

Ben Warren has had a roller coaster of a ride through this series. Back when his story first began, he was the best anesthesiologist working at Seattle Grace. All of the surgeons wanted him working during their surgeries. That being said, once he started dating surgeon Miranda Bailey, he too wanted to try his luck in the surgical field. After almost completing his surgical residency, he had another change of heart. While he is still in Seattle, he is now working as a firefighter.

Izzie Stevens

Here is one only the fans who have been watching from the beginning will remember. Izzie Stevens was at one time a leading character on the show. She was part of the original group of interns, and she got some pretty heavy storylines. While she did survive her cancer diagnosis, she ultimately decided to leave not only the hospital, but her husband Alex Karev behind as well. Izzie Stevens is a character who people tend to either love, or dislike immensely.

George O'Malley

If anyone remembered Izzie Stevens, then they will no doubt remember George O'Malley as well. He too was part of the original group of interns, though it was not his choice to leave the hospital. After his marriage to Callie and relationship with Izzie did not work out, George decided to enlist as a surgeon in the army. However, on the day before he was to deploy, he was hit by a bus. George never made it to the army, but his bravery will always be remembered.

Addison Montgomery

Addison Montgomery was not only an important character on Grey' Anatomy, but she was the only one to get a spin-off series as well. Before leaving for the show Private Practice, Addison was an OB-GYN at Seattle Grace. She was also the estranged wife of leading man Derek Shepherd. Their relationship was never going to work after he met Meredith, though she did try with all of her heart to save the marriage. Was anyone here a huge fan of hers?

Denny Duquette

Here is our final question of the day. Denny Duquette was not a doctor, but we feel the need to include him in this quiz anyway. He was a patient of the hospital's, and he unfortunately had a very bad heart. His condition was so bad, that he had to remain inside of the hospital until they were able to find him a new one. This was tough on him, but it did lead to him meeting and falling in love with Izzie Stevens.
