Most celebrities have gone brunette at least once in their lives. Some of them might be natural brunettes and some of them may not, but most of them look incredibly beautiful with a darker shade of hair color.
There are some exceptions if we're being honest! Think of Scarlett Johansson! She can definitely pull off red and blonde, but brown doesn't bring out all of her great features! The same can be said of Emma Stone. She's a natural blonde who can also pull off red like no one else, and even if she's still amazingly cute as a brunette the aforementioned hair colors are a better choice! Last but not least, we have to bring into the equation Amy Adams whose green melancholic eyes are so much more bright and beautiful when she goes red or blonde!
Of course, other celebrities have a complexion that looks perfect no matter their hair color. Think of Katy Perry or Rihanna! Think of Rachel McAdams and Rooney Mara! And the list goes on and on! Perhaps one of our favorite roles is Evey from James McTeigue’s V For Vendetta (2005). For this role, she had to shave her head. With Avengers: Endgame (2019) premiering just a few weeks ago, we can’t let our beloved Elizabeth Olsen out of this list. Salma Hayek is one of those actresses that we can’t help but love. Her most iconic role of course can be no other than Frida Kahlo from Julie Taymor’s Frida (2002). Although we might think that the painting scenes were performed by a stand in, according to IMDb, Salma Hayek has stated that “it's no fake hand doing brush strokes. Painting is the best part.” Besides this role, we’ve also seen her in Robert Rodriguez’s Desperado (1995) as Carolina and in Barry Sonnenfeld’s Wild Wild West (1999) as Rita Escobar. Lucy Hale
Lucy Hale is a famous young actress which most of us met when she starred in I. Marlene King’s hit TV Series Pretty Little Liars (2010-2017) as Aria Montgomery. After that, we’ve also seen her as Lily in Olivia Milch’s Dude (2018) and as Olivia Barron in Jeff Wadlow’s Truth Or Dare (2018). Besides acting, Lucy Hale also sings! According to IMDb, she has stated: “I just love the thrill of performing on stage. I believe that singing is something I was put here to do” and perhaps she’s right! So, do we like Lucy Hale?

Now Eva Green might not be a model, but she certainly has a unique and awe-inspiring beauty. We’ve seen her in many films with roles such as Quorra from Joseph Kosinski’s TRON: Legacy (2010), Kate from Joe Swanberg’s Drinking Buddies (2013) and Elizabeth Roberts from Geoff Moore and David Posamentier’s Better Living Through Chemistry (2014). Perhaps there is a small piece of trivia we didn’t know! And since we were talking about Dan Schneider’s Victorious (2010-2013) we can’t leave out Ariana Grande! She played the redhead Cat Valentine, a very lovable character that we’ll remember for the years to come. Interestingly enough, Ariana Grande is not a natural redhead. According to IMDb, “she is a natural brunette [but] dyed her hair velvet red for the role of Cat Valentine on Victorious (2010) because the rest of the cast were brunette [because] creator/executive producer Dan Schneider didn't want everyone to have brown hair.” Well, both hair colors look great on her! We all know and love Jessica Alba. She’s one of the best Jessicas out there! We’ve seen her in Ethan Maniquis and Robert Rodriguez’s Machette (2010) as Sartana and in the Fantastic Four franchise as Sue Storm. It’s been a few years since Tim Story’s Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer (2007) came out, but it’s still a surprise to hear some of the production stories. According to IMDb, Jessica Alba quoted one of the director’s comments as follows: “'It looks too real. It looks too painful. Can you be prettier when you cry? Cry pretty, Jessica'. At this point how can we not talk about Emilia Clarke? We are currently two episodes away from the big end, and we can’t wait to see who will sit at the iron throne in David Benioff and D.B. Weiss’ hit TV series Game Of Thrones (2011-2019). Will it be Emilia Clarke’s character Daenerys Targaryen? She might not get her happily ever after since as Emilia Clarke herself has said “sometimes, I feel like the kid left out--the weirdo with the silver hair that no one likes to talk to.” (IMDb) Well in two weeks we’ll know! Zoe Saldana is an actress that we can’t help but love. She is someone that is strong, determined and incredibly sweet. She’s best known for her role as Gamora which she has reprised four times in the last five years. But there is another role that made her really famous and that is the role of Neytiri in James Cameron’s Avatar (2009). She has said about that role, according to IMDb the following: “my Avatar (2009) character, Neytiri, has been the most challenging of [all the others] - physically, mentally and spiritually. Besides her singing, we’ve also seen her on the big screen. We’ve seen her as Esti Kuperman in Sebastián Lelio’s Disobedience (2017) and as Paige in Michael Sucsy’s The Vow (2012) but perhaps her most famous role is Allie from Nick Cassavetes’ The Notebook (2004). Interestingly enough, the actress has stated, according to IMDb, that Debra Granik’s “Down To The Bone has always been the reference film for why directors hire [her]” and perhaps that is true! Gina Rodriguez has got to be one of our favorite brunettes! We’ve seen her in Alex Garland’s Annihilation (2018) as Anya Thorensen, in Jennifer Kaytin Robinson’s Someone Great (2019) as Jenny Young, and in Nicole Gomez Fisher’s Sleeping With The Fishes as Alexis Fish. She has even made some guest appearances in as herself in Silvio Horta and Fernando Gaitán’s Ugly Betty (2006-2010) and in Ben Stiller’s Zoolander (2001). Nonetheless, she’s mostly famous for being a part of Spice Girls and although they were a hit back then, Victoria Beckham has stated according to IMDb that she has “no intention of ever working with the (Spice) girls again.” So, do we like Victoria Beckham?

Lana Del Rey is a singer that we can’t get enough of these past few years. We love her songs, some of which she also writes, and we can’t deny it! Among the most famous are, Summertime Sadness, Young And Beautiful, Blue Jeans and Video Games. While we are fans of Lana Del Rey, she is a big fan of Britney Spears! According to IMDb, Lana Del Rey has said: “I'm not really interested in a ton of female musicians but there is something about Britney that compelled me - the way she sings and just the way she looks.” So, do we like Lana Del Rey?

And since we’re talking about Britney Spears, she can’t be off this list! Of course, she is mostly famous as a singer, but Britney Spears has guest starred both in TV and on the big screen. Sometimes, she plays herself like she did on an episode of Ian Brennan, Brad Falchuk, and Ryan Murphy’s Glee (2009-2015) and on Patrick Brice’s Corporate Animals (2019). Others, she’s given another role like that of Abby in Carter Bays and Craig Thomas’ How I Met Your Mother (2005-2014). Although we’ve mostly seen her as a blonde, it turns out that Britney Spears is “a natural brunette” (IMDb). So, do we like Britney Spears?
Halle Berry
Halle Berry has got to be one of our favorite actresses ever. She has played a variety of different roles, from Ororo Munroe / Storm in Bryan Singer’s X-Men (2000) (a role she has reprised another three times in almost 15 years!) and Leticia Musgrove in Marc Forster’s Monster’s Ball (2001) to Nurse Aimee in Garry Marshall’s New Year’s Eve (2011) and Rowena Price in James Foley’s Perfect Stranger (2007). We’ve seen it all, and we can’t wait for more! So, do we like Halle Berry?
Tessa Thompson
Just a few weeks after the last installment of the Avengers, Avengers: Endgame (2019) Tessa Thompson, who has played Valkyrie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe deserves a mention! We’ve also seen her as Josie Radek in Alex Garland’s Annihilation (2018) and we can’t wait to see her as Agent M in F. Gary Gray Men In Black: International (2019). We sometimes may think how certain actors ended up acting. In the case of Tessa Thompson we learn that she “got ‘discovered’ as a child walking down Hollywood Boulevard with her father” (IMDb). So, do we like Tessa Thompson?
Jada Pinkett Smith
Who doesn’t love Jada Pinkett Smith? She’s just awesome in ways that we can’t even explain! We’ve seen her in Lana Wachowski and Lilly Wachowski’s The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions (2003) and we’ve heard her voice in the Madagascar animated films franchise as Gloria the hippopotamus. Further, Jada Pinkett Smith has commented on the martial arts training for the Matrix films. She said, according to IMDb: "I saw Keanu (Reeves) sitting in a tub of ice. And I'm looking at him like 'You're in that for...' and he's looking at me like 'You'll know one day'" (that’s hilarious!). So, do we like Jada Pinkett Smith?
Aubrey Plaza
And since we're talking about Parks And Recreation (2009-2015) we can't leave out Aubrey Plaza! She was April Ludgate and we'll never forget that performance! We’ve also seen her in Colin Trevorrow’s Safety Not Guaranteed (2012) as Darius, and in Matt Spicer’s Ingrid Goes West (2017) as Ingrid Thorburn. A fun fact about Aubrey Plaza is that she was “named after the song, ‘Aubrey,’ by the pop/rock group Bread, which was written and composed by David Gates” (IMDb). Well we've got to say, that’s awesome! So, do we like Aubrey Plaza?

Since we’re talking about how actresses feel about their profession let’s go to the unique Viola Davis! According to IMDb, when she was asked about her choice of profession she said: “I became an artist because we are the only profession that celebrates what it means to live a life” and that is a great outlook that we wish everyone shared! She’s best known for roles like Aibileen Clark from Tate Taylor’s The Help (2011) and Rose Maxson from Denzel Washington’s Fences (2016). So, do we like Viola Davis?
