Musical movies are known for making us feel good because we are able to find comfort and joy in the lyrics of a lot of our favorite songs! One of the coolest things about musical movies is the fact that we are able to see some of our favorite actors and actresses branch out from regular acting... we are able to see them sing and dance too!

A big example of this is Reese Witherspoon. We know her from movies like Legally Blonde, Sweet Home Alabama, This Means War, and Just like Heaven. Then she appears in the movie Walk the Line and we are able to see her and admire her in a whole new light! She sings in that movie and it is awesome to witness. For her work in Walk the Line, she won the Academy Award for Best Actress, Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Actress, and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role! The coolest thing about this movie is that it starts off in animated form, and it looks like it is about to be a cartoon-like all of the other princess movies. But it doesn’t stay that way.

This movie is called Mary Poppins returns and it stars a lovely actress named Emily Blunt who is married to John Krasinski! John Krasinski is the handsome actor who played Jim Halpert on the show The Office with Steve Carell! This movie is filled with a lot of great music and brings viewers a sense of happiness and laughter! This is one of those musical movies that is sure to make a lot of people smile with satisfaction at the songs.

Here is another great musical movie that is extremely sad and extremely emotional. It stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in the leading roles and they spend the movie dancing with each other and singing songs to each other… If the movie only focused on the dancing in the songs, it probably would not be so sad! But the movie also focuses on both of their attempts to become successful in the Hollywood industry and how it tears them apart.

This movie is called Mamma Mia! It is a great movie that ends up getting a sequel, later on down the line. It stars Amanda Seyfried and Meryl Streep in the leading roles. Amanda’s character is in pursuit of trying to find the identity of her true dad before her wedding day! There are three men who could potential he be her dad and she has to figure out which one is the right one so that she can feel complete on her wedding day.

Rent is an emotional movie with so many good songs included. it stars Rosario Dawson in the leading role as well as a group of other actors who really help the story completely come to life in the best ways possible. The movie is kind of sad because it tells the story of sickness, love lost, and other hardships in the city of New York. The city of New York is such a beautiful place and this movie shows that.

This movie should definitely go down in history as being one of the best musical movies ever. It is all about a couple who fall in love even though it seems as though they might not be right for each other. She works in a profession that is not good or healthy for her in terms of her body or her mind. He falls in love with her and wants to save her from her lifestyle and show her what true love is.

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper star in this movie together. Lady Gaga once said, "The only big things I've purchased are my dad's heart valve and a Rolls-Royce for my parents, for their anniversary. This is a Disney movie called The Lion King! It is filled with so many amazing songs, that the list seems to go on forever. A lot of the music from this movie is remembered for being so catchy and so heartfelt. High School Musical is the first movie of its franchise and boy, did it blow everyone away! The generations who grew up watching this movie and it’s awesome sequels definitely appreciated how much time and effort was placed upon creating awesome dance scenes and music lyrics. The lyrics of the songs from this movie are really catchy and fun! Some of the songs from this movie are still memorable to this day, even though so many long years have passed by.

They added so much more depth to the songs that they were singing.

This movie is very emotional and very sad. It definitely tugs on the heartstrings of the viewers who take the time to watch it. A lot of the music from this movie is sort of dark and depressing because of the hardships that the characters from the story are going through. Anne Hathaway is one of the main characters from this movie and she does a great job singing one of the most difficult songs to sing from the film.

Who does not love a beautiful movie like a Moana? This Disney movie is such a great film with such awesome songs to sing along too for everyone! This is not a movie that is just meant for kids. Even grownups love the movie too… As well as teenagers and young adults. That is because the movie comes with a really sweet message about fighting for what is right, protecting one’s family, and following one’s heart, even when it’s hard.

The film is based loosely on Eminem's actual upbringing and follows white rapper B-Rabbit and his attempt to make it. Frozen is another amazing movie that came to us from Disney! It revolves around a princess named Elsa who struggles to control her powers with snow and ice as a child. When she gets older, she realizes that the struggle she faced to control her powers is what got in the way of her relationship with her little sister. She does what it takes to rebuild the relationship with her sister and to show her sister that she truly does care about her.
