Pick Or Pass On These Engagement Rings And We’ll Reveal Your Soulmate’s Sign

Everyone is looking for their soulmate, but sometimes it feels like it's an uphill climb to actually get to them. Dating apps, texting mishaps, and busy schedules make it incredibly difficult to actually find the person that we're meant to spend the rest of our life with. But what if we could narrow the search a little bit? Instead of slogging through profile after profile, bad first date after bad first date, we could instead find someone that's perfectly partnered to us. We just need some sort of system that could tell us common personality traits...Like the signs!

The star signs can help, and we're taking full advantage of them here. And, since we're talking about soulmates anyway, why not think about that inevitable marriage that's just around the corner once we find them? Picking and passing on these engagement rings will give us an idea of everyone's preferences. We believe that this can lead us to a best guess as to which sign our soulmate will be. Get ready, because after this quiz everything is going to change. At least, we hope so; we're on the hunt as much as everyone else, so the system might not be spot on (yet)!

Question 1

This Round Ring:

Let's start things off nice and easy with this chic ring. Round rings can garner a lot of attention, as they're often a little bigger than a classically set diamond. The size of the circle is changeable, but most of them fit in a way that's similar to the picture. This kind of dramatic ring could be a great match for someone who's excited about marriage, or who just likes to show off. Not to mention the sparkle! This is one shiny ring.

Question 2

This Simple Ring:

Maybe big and bold isn't necessarily the style that we want to wear day in and day out. Engagement rings aren't like other fashion rings, after all. We tend to wear them every day, unlike some of our other more fashion forward jewelry styles. This makes simplistic designs very tempting. The silver band and the smaller diamond announces an engagement without needing to worry about drawing too much unwanted attention. The shine will be there, but it won't be dramatic enough to get in anyone's eyes. How considerate!

Question 3

This Rosy Ring:

Think pink with this ring, which seems to be a lovely rose gold shade. The delicate style is one that we personally love, and we appreciate the fact that the silver diamond accents are set in such a way that it still highlights the larger stone. While it might feel too bold to wear a pink ring, we feel that this is soft enough that it basically counts as a neutral. Besides, the silver means that it can match with any jewelry scheme: copper, gold, or sterling silver.

Question 4

This Decorative Ring:

We're not sure what else to call it, as it invokes images of quite a few different images. From icing flowers on a wedding cake to waterlilies floating in a pond, this ring makes an amazing choice for anyone who likes a little more decoration in their jewelry. A little more stylized than some of the simple rings we have on this list, this is truly a fun engagement ring. We're sure that this will be a pick for the artistic folks amongst us!

Question 5

This Sparkly Ring:

Who doesn't love a little bling on that ring finger? While finding a soulmate is all well and good, some of us really are just in it for the jewelry aspect. Just kidding! Looking for love is the main prerogative, and beautiful rings like this one are just a side benefit. The sparkly ring is a popular one, as many people want to be able to show off their soulmate even when they're not around. The sparkle catches attention, but isn't overwhelming.

Question 6

This Quirky Ring:

Want a ring that's more millennial cool kid style than traditional classic chic? This is the ring for us. The multicolored stones set in the unique shape means that it's possible to be worn with any outfit, despite the fact that it has some color in it. Blue, green, and purple tones can all be seen reflecting in the surface. This makes it a great match for those of us who tend to wear colors, as the ring will never clash.

Question 7

This Ornate Ring:

Want a bit of a fancier ring? Coming right up! The person we fancy will love this fancy ring, with a diamond set inside of a gold circle. Almost like a halo, this encircling of the metal makes for a very interesting design. It's quite ornate, and the style itself gives us a whole lot of Disney vibes. We could totally see the Beast giving this to Belle, which is basically everything we could ever dream of in an engagement. Right?

Question 8

This Blue Ring:

We looked at a ring that has some delicate tones of other colors, but what about a ring that's straight up blue? This color is a dramatic departure from the traditional, and even brings some freshness to the idea of the engagement ring. If we tend to wear a lot of basic suits or neutral colors, this engagement ring would look amazing. The pop of blue probably brings a whole lot of attention to it as well, which is a big plus.

Question 9

This Green Ring:

Maybe blue isn't our thing. That's cool! Not everyone wants to be blue, or wants their engagement ring to be. Those that wear a lot of earth tones might want to consider something like this, which features a diamond shaped green stone set inside of a ring of diamonds. We love the basic silver band that it's attached to as well, as it gives it an almost vintage vibe (rather than a diamond-encrusted contemporary twist). We're big fans of this ring.

Question 10

This Big Ring:

Look at that ring! Want to turn heads on the bus? Give grandma a mini (non-dangerous) heart attack? Show up with this huge rock on that finger! While we're not ones who believe that material gifts equal love, it's hard to stand by that thinking when we see a ring like this. Is it meant to be a status symbol? Or is it really an indication of love? Regardless of how we read into the psychology of the huge ring, there's no denying that it's absolutely beautiful.

Question 11

This Rectangular Ring:

Three rectangles on the ring make for a powerful design, even though it's one that we're not necessarily fans of. It's not that we dislike the ring. Not at all. We just don't feel that we're serious or professional enough to rock a ring that looks like this. The rectangles make for a dramatic style. It's one that we personally really love, as it's a great option for fiancees that might go to a lot of work functions. It's not as sparkly, making it much more subtle and grown up, in our opinion.

Question 12

This Multi-Faceted Ring:

On the total flip side of the ring we just looked at is this sparkly, but subtle, ring. The multifaceted nature of the jewels means that it's going to catch the light no matter where we are. Outside, in the office, running on the treadmill...people everywhere are going to stop and stare at this sparkly ring. The square cut diamond is a unique style as well, and it brings a serious and grounding nature to an otherwise glamorous and over the top ring.

Question 13

This Art Deco Ring:

Art Deco is a cool style because it's kind of a vintage style from the past. Art Deco emerged in the 30s, mostly as an architecture movement. However, it also made its way into fashion and jewelry, epitomized by this ring. Clean lines, simple shapes, manmade materials mixed with natural ones, as well as stylization and geometric ornamentation (Britannica). All that to say, in the world of rings it basically means a simple shape with a whole lot of decoration inside of it!

Question 14

This Victorian Era Ring:

We'll admit, we aren't convinced that this ring is actually from the Victorian era. It seems a little too well-preserved to be real Victorian, though the style is certainly inspired by that era in history. The gold and black design reminds us of a lovely brocade, with the diamonds' placement giving us cool decorative tiara vibes. Not to mention the drama that comes from having a two-tone band like this one as our engagement ring! It's fancy and fresh, while still wonderfully historic.

Question 15

This Fun Ring:

Building off of that quirky ring that we looked at earlier is this fun ring. While it might look like a two piece, it also works cohesively as a one piece as well. The larger stone set in a diamondish oval style makes for a nice topper to the low strung stones on the bottom. It almost looks like a tiara, which is perfect for any princess in our life. The style itself is beautiful, without demanding attention. Perfect for the subtle but stand out fiancee!

Question 16

This Intricate Ring:

While we've seen a lot of rings that have large stones set in the centre, there's something to be said for the metal work on a ring as well. The band is almost as important as the stone, especially if our partner is one who looks at the big picture. Those are the folks who are more likely to pick up this kind of ring, which perfectly exemplifies the idea of detail oriented jewelry. The stones inset in the intricate design still add some sparkle too!

Question 17

This Colorful Ring:

We've looked at blue rings, green rings, and now we're looking at pink rings! This magenta color is a little more ruby-hued than some of the other pink stones we've seen, making it a great addition to an otherwise straightforward ring. However, this ring would still be incredible on its own. The pink just adds a bit of a pop, while the diamonds surrounding it make for a brilliant and sparkly design. The impact is intense, and we're a fan!

Question 18

This Double Band Ring:

Why buy one ring when we could get two? Okay, okay; we're not sure that these could come apart, to be perfectly honest. It's not really like buying two rings to show off twice the love, it seems to be more of a stylistic choice. The one ring features two bands holding together a single, obvious stone. The centre is a geometric style, making it one of our favorite alternative rock options we've seen. It might not be a diamond, but it's still gorgeous!

Question 19

This Dramatic Ring:

We thought we'd looked at large, dramatic rings before on this list, but they were nothing compared to this style. Not only does this ring feature a large stone set in the centre, but it's also got a valley of smaller diamonds surrounding it. It's basically like a diamond-encrusted parachute that lives on our ring finger. The band is simple, which was probably a good choice. The centrepiece of the ring really does command all the attention, and not to mention all of the sparkle!

Question 20

This Cluster Ring:

Fans of Steven Universe will know that The Cluster is a bit of an ominous thing. However, we're now convinced that there's some beauty to it. And honestly, this might be our favorite ring on the whole list. Not only does it feature some softer colors, making it easy to pair with a variety of outfits, but it still retains that sparkly and head-turning quality. The band is a lovely color as well, making it possible to coordinate in a variety of ways.

Question 21

This X-Shaped Ring:

The two-bands-one-ring style seems to be a popular one, which is why we had to add this variant into the mix. Not only does it feature a large diamond at the centre of the X, ensuring that all the attention is pointed towards that centrepiece, but it also has diamonds lining each band. This is a beautiful design, and is one that's creative without being overpowering. It's not easy striking that balance, but we think that this ring does a great job.

Question 22

This Shapely Ring:

Who doesn't love a shapely ring? We're so concerned about our shapes, so why not put that concern into a beautiful ring instead? This ring has a variety of shapes and colors to it, making it one of the most specifically designed that we think we've seen. The variety is huge in this one little ring, and is sure to please even the most indecisive fiancee. Can't decide whether to wear that floral dress or the power suit? It doesn't matter, since this ring will match both.

Question 23

This Spherical Ring:

Those who haven't passed on any rings yet might just have met their match. The largely spherical design of this ring makes us think that there might be more diamonds than we could possibly count. A huge surface area to cover, the sparkle is caught by the light constantly regardless of how well lit the place is. This truly is the perfect ring for anyone who likes to be in the spotlight, as it's sure to garner attention no matter what else is going on.

Question 24

This Delicate Ring:

A dainty piece that's built for those who might be looking for a more subtle style, this is a beautiful take on the classic engagement ring. A single band that splits delicately on either side, it allows the jewel to sit prim and proper in the band. A large jewel, but not one that's going to necessarily turn heads just from its over the top sparkle, this is a great take on a classic ring. Delicate and well designed, with a beautiful look.

Question 25

This Stackable Ring:

Why get one ring when we could get three? We can't help but think that this was a ring that was made to keep giving. Not only would it work for those that are looking for an initial promise ring, but it's easy to add to at the first and second anniversaries too. The engagement ring might signify "we're getting married", but it also means a more general "we're committed to each other". This could be the perfect ring to keep driving that point home.

Question 26

This Pointed Ring:

Who doesn't love a unique ring? This is a design that's a little different from some of the other rings we've seen so far, but we're big fans regardless. The unique styles don't always have to include colored stones and knotted metal. Sometimes it's as simple as a unique cut to a diamond. This large stone and thin band is a beautiful pair, and is one that we can't get enough of when it comes to delicate designs. Unique but not over the top-- What a great mix!

Question 27

This Flower Ring:

Seemingly inspired by a flower, this ring is a delightful piece that anyone would be happy to wear. Not only does it feature a solid stone at the centre of the "petals", but it also has a touch of red lining the diamond. The gold band is a great addition to the ring design, as the work on it makes us think of climbing vines and flower stems. This is perfect for the vintage lovers and tree huggers in our lives.

Question 28

This Geometric Ring:

Another pointed ring, this geometric style is covered in a silver that truly makes us fall in love with the idea of engagement rings. We personally are very big fans of this look, as it's just the right amount of delicate to give us some amazing style. The look is something akin to a ring that we'd find at Urban Outfitters, but the quality is definitely engagement ring level. This trendy shaping and high quality makes for the perfect contemporary engagement ring.

Question 29

This Swirly Ring:

Looking for a ring that expresses a couples' love while also adding in a touch of oceanic design elements? Look no further than this engagement ring, which features not one but two centrepiece stones. The dark blue stone and the lighter colored stone make an excellent pair, and also reminds us of that classic yin and yang symbol. A balanced couple is a happy couple, and it's absolutely a good idea to have a reminder of that on the engagement ring.

Question 30

This Multicolored Ring:

Okay, it might not be the most aesthetically pleasing ring for some of us, especially those of us who tend to like a more clean or delicate style. However, it's definitely a great choice for those who like unique styles. We wouldn't be surprised to learn that this was a vintage ring, as the shape reminds us of that Victorian Era ring we looked at earlier. All in all, this ring is a great addition for any happy couple; especially as an engagement ring!

Question 31

This Engraved Ring:

Everyone wants an engagement ring that feels special, which is why we're often looking for rings that highlight a personal part of a relationship. Engraving can be an easy way to update a regular old ring to something special. By adding a name, date, or even a symbol that's significant to the two partners a ring all of a sudden becomes an even more obvious symbol of love. However, some people really don't like the aesthetic. Is it a pick, or a pass?

Question 32

This Buzzy Ring:

Who doesn't love the bees? What better way to show a couple's love of not just themselves, but of the world as well! This buzzy friend will live on the fiancee's finger, and will always remind them that someone asked them to "bee mine". Get it? Because it's a bee? C'mon, we couldn't just not make a bee joke when faced with a ring like this. While it might not be a great option for the serious business person to wear, it is pretty cute!

Question 33

This Sideways Ring:

This engagement ring is a little off-kilter, which might bode poorly as a symbol of the relationship. That's not to say we shouldn't take the risk, though. We personally love this ring and think that the design is super cute. Not only is there an adorable quality to the offset stone, but it also adds visual interest to an otherwise standard design. We've all seen the simple band with a diamond design. But how many people have seen this offset stone in a simple band?

Question 34

This Stylish Ring:

This stylish ring is a beautiful choice for anyone who's looking to add some natural elements into their jewelry collection. The color of the metal is similar to leaves in autumn, making it a beautiful metaphor for the seasons of a relationship. Or maybe it's just a gorgeous design. Either way, we love the fact that this ring is out there, and offers an option for those that might not want something as classic as a simple band and stone ring.

Question 35

This Pretty Ring:

This pretty ring is one that any fan of delicate jewelry would be happy to have. The shining stone makes for a glorious centrepiece to this otherwise simplistic ring. The extremely thin band makes it look like the jewel is almost inlaid into your finger. The color is a classic as well, not quite gold and not quite copper, while still retaining that shine of silver. We'd guess that it's that gorgeous rose gold we keep hearing about, adding to that delicate design.

Question 36

This Aquamarine Ring:

We've seen a few very obviously blue rings, but this is one that's a little more subtle. The stone is a little more subtle than its bright counterparts, making it a great choice for those that might wear a lot of pastels or lighter colors. Not to mention the fact that it's easier to match with other jewelry colors. Light blue looks amazing with rubies, emeralds, and especially amethysts. At least, in our opinion. Some might not be into this non-traditional stone color.

Question 37

This Flat Top Ring:

There's nothing more interesting than putting a shape on top of another shape. That's why we find layering our clothing so fascinating; draping sleeves on top of squared-off hems gives a whole lot of visual interest. The flat top on this ring on top of someone's naturally round finger is a very, very interesting choice. It might look as subtle as the plain band and stone style, but make no mistake: this flat top quickly turns a traditional ring into a very interesting piece.

Question 38

This Gothic Ring:

Red and black is a popular color pairing for both vampires and alternative style-loving humans. Now we can keep this style alive all the time thanks to this engagement ring! No longer do we have to struggle with styling a normal looking engagement ring with our fishnets and our leather jackets. This engagement ring will perfectly match even the most punk of the styles out there, making it a must have for those couples who prefer to rock out than to relax.

Question 39

This Twig Ring:

Nature lovers, it's time to embrace the fact that twigs can be stylish too. It's not just the fact that the trees are nice to look at from out the window. Twigs can also look lovely on our ring fingers, which this delicate ring proves. The silver sparkle is a beautiful choice for this twig-like ring, as it lets us see the grooves and knots on the twig. The stone set in the centre is a great choice as well, as it's rougher than a regular diamond.

Question 40

This Diamond-Encrusted Ring:

Who doesn't love sparkle? Those that are looking for a dramatic ring will likely be looking to the styles that have a huge amount of diamonds lining the band. The large diamond in the centre might look like a unique cut, but looking a little closer we see that it's actually a large diamond that's got smaller diamonds circling around it in a halo kind of design. The diamonds then go onto the band as well, ensuring there's sparkle no matter which way the light hits it.

Question 41

This Knotted Ring:

We've seen a couple versions of this kind of classic engagement ring. The simple band with a single diamond is a classic style, and one that shouldn't be overlooked despite a saturation of other styles in the market now. With a strong style choice done in the styling of the metal, this is a ring that's engraved in such a way that it looks like it's knotted. Visually interesting and still with a touch of sparkle, this is an engagement ring to be proud of.

Question 42

This Princess Cut Ring:

A princess cut is a very specific kind of style. It's a way of cutting the diamond. Brilliant Earth describes it as being a square cut which bevels on the sides, making it more of a diamond shape that picks up the light well. This makes for a lot of dramatic sparkle, and ensures that everyone can see just how brilliant of a diamond we've been given. This ring also has a silver band, making it the perfect balance of dramatic and simple.

Question 43

This Stacked Ring:

Holy sparkle! This ring is a soft rose color, though it's hard to tell underneath all of those stones. The diamond crusting on the band makes for a gorgeous detail to bookend this big diamond. The pinkish stone is circled by smaller diamonds, and the cut of the centre stone gives the image of there being layers of sparkly stones. This makes for a very dramatic ring, without needing to have a lot of intricate metalwork wrapping around our finger.

Question 44

This Timeless Ring:

One of the beautiful things about engagement rings is the fact that we're going to be wearing them for the rest of our life (if everything works out, of course). This timeless engagement ring is unique enough to fit in with the quirky rings of today, but it's also classic enough that it will give more traditional-minded folks pause to stop and coo over the beauty of this ring. The oval diamond might not pick up as much sparkle as some other cuts, but it's certainly a beautiful choice.

Question 45

This Large Ring:

Who doesn't love a big ring? Not only does it have a big old top on it, but the band itself seems to be a little thicker than some of the smaller, more traditional styles we've seen on this list. The dramatic amount of sparkle is perfect for those that might want to stand out in a crowd, but isn't too overwhelming. While smaller hands might find this ring to be too large, those of us with big fingers will appreciate a ring that can hold its own against them.

Question 46

This Halo Ring:

The Halo is a particular style that's popular in engagement ring design. James Allen describes halo engagement rings as a style which features a ring of diamonds set around the centrepiece stone. In some cases that's a diamond, while in other cases it could be anything from ruby to aquamarine. We personally love this darker stone, as it offers a great juxtaposition against the diamond halo. The band itself is simple, letting the stones really shine; both literally and stylistically!

Question 47

This Wrapping Ring:

One of the more unique metal designs we've seen, this wrapping style makes us think of a beautiful rose. Powerful, strong, and well balanced, the tiny diamonds in this ring will add layers of sparkle along with the large diamond offering a point of focus in the centre. The style is a beautiful one that would make any fiancee excited for their future. Not that the ring is the only reason to be excited. It's pretty nice to look at, though.

Question 48

This Two Tone Ring:

The inverse of one of the rings we just looked at, this is a style that's still technically a halo, but doesn't result in as much dramatic sparkle. The dark blue stones circling the diamond in the centre gives us a point of focus. It's almost like a vignette effect, allowing us to focus on the centrepiece rather than just seeing a generically sparkling ring. The details are brilliant on this ring, and we're a big fan of the way the metal matches the stones.

Question 49

This Teardrop Ring:

A teardrop ring might sound like an omen of sadness, but trust us when we say that it's only tears of joy we're faced with here. The metal prongs holding this stone in are sometimes hidden by smaller diamonds. However, in this case, we see that it's actually a circular finish on the metal itself that gives us the design we're seeing here. The side diamonds make for an interesting finish on the design, which is something we're always eager to see on an engagement ring.

Question 50

This Expensive Ring:

Look at that rock! Is it out of place to say that this engagement ring totally rocks? How many more puns can we make about these engagement ring rocks? The answer is no more, as we're too busy drooling over this expensive ring. While we don't actually know how much it costs, we're willing to bet that it's a lot. Much more than we'd ever want to spend on a piece of jewelry. But isn't that the joy of gifts? Getting things, like engagement rings, that we'd never buy ourselves?
