We've all seen a chick flick or two (or more!). But what is a chick flick really someone might ask! According to Wikipedia "[A] chick flick is a slang term used for the film genre dealing mainly with love and romance which is targeted to a female audience." That may be true, but there are some great romantic comedies or dramas that pretty much everyone likes!

Think of films like When Harry Met Sally, (1989) The Reader, (2008) Gone With The Wind, (1939) A Walk To Remember, (2002) Breakfast At Tiffanys, (1961) Sixteen Candles, (1984) Pretty In Pink, (1986) Bridget Jones' Diary (and its sequels!) and many more! All of these are classics, and even if we find them to be somewhat cheesy at times, we're glad they're out there!

After all, even though these films might have an unrealistic take on love at times, they are great for moments that we need to cheer ourselves up and believe that there is true love out there (and always will be!). Sure, guys don't come outside our windows holding a boombox over their heads, but hey crazier things have happened!
