Do we have any avid TV watchers here with us today? We are assuming we do, since who isn't an avid TV watcher these days, right? There was a time when it was tough to keep track of our favorite shows, since they only played once a week. However, these days it has become all too easy to sit back and watch our way through seasons at a time. With streaming services like Hulu and Netflix, there is just no limit to the amount of TV one can watch in a day. Even with so much watching material out there, we know for a fact that some choose to rewatch the same series over and over. This is not the quiz for these people.
This quiz was built for those who have seen it all. We will be listing 50 characters from various televisions shows, and all everyone here has to do is match them to the correct series. Sounds easy, right? Wrong! These shows are not only all from different genres, but they are from different times as well. Only someone who has been keeping up with all of the gems television has gifted us with over the years will be able to pass this one with 100%.
Phil Dunphy
Here we have another father figure for everyone to remember! While Phil Dunphy is a great father and loving husband as well, that is pretty much where the similarities stop between him and Jack Pearson. Phil is a real-estate agent, and he has three children. He likes to think of himself as a "cool dad", who is up to date on all the latest trends and slang. His children often inform him that this is not the case, but he rarely pays them any mind. He is a big fan of technology, and loves being the first guy on the block to have a new gadget.
Piper Chapman
When her series first began, Piper Chapman was a completely different woman than the one we know now. She was engaged and living a rather normal life. She seemed very happy with how her life was going, but things quickly fell apart once she was sentenced to hard time. She was locked up for crimes she had committed in her youth, but was only supposed to be there for a few months. That being said, a whole new side of Piper came out once she was behind bars. Due to some pretty bad behaviour, her time just keeps on increasing.
Nick Miller
Nick Miller is a pretty good dude. He may lack ambition and he can be a tad bit sloppy from time to time, but overall he means well. He is roommates with a few other guys and one girl. Once the lady of the house moved in, Nick and his fellow suitemates all had a bit of a hard time adjusting. However, having a girl in the home really did help them get their acts together. Nick did begin a relationship with this roommate, though they have had trouble keeping the love alive over the years. So, guess his show!
Jake Peralta
Here we are looking at one of the countries top police officers. Jake Peralta may not be the best at following rules, but he is a master at catching bad guys. His superiors are often frustrated by the fact that he goes about his job in his own style, but they find it hard to stay angry when they realize he has been successful. That being said, over the years Jake has learned a lot from the people in charge, and he is growing as both a cop and a man every single day! Can anyone here name the show?
Jesse Pinkman
Here we have a kid who has always meant well, but has made some spectacularly bad decisions. He grew up in a kind and supportive household, but he pulled away from his family. While trying to make it on his own, Jesse picked up a few habits that he could have done without. While in a vulnerable place, he was approached by the main character of the series and was asked to partner up with him. This partnership offered a lot of money, which Jesse needed. He accepted the business deal, though nothing in his life would ever be the same afterwards...
Jim Halpert
The best word to describe Jim Halpert would have to be "prankster". When his series kicked off, he was working as a paper salesman for a mid-range company. His job was boring, but the receptionist always managed to keep him entertained. While Jim was a top earner for the company, most of his time did go into pranking his deskmate. These days, Jim has left the paper world behind and is working as a sports talent manager. He has since married that entertaining receptionist and they have a couple of kids together. Can anyone here pick out the right show?
Joey Tribbiani
Now here is one we are thinking most people will be able to guess correctly! Joey Tribbiani was part of a very popular television series. In this series, Joey was a mostly out-of-work actor. He did find brief success as a soap opera star, though he lost this job after giving a interview where he stated he wrote most of his lines. Throughout his series, Joey watched as most of his friends found love, but he always remained a bachelor himself. He was a true ladies man and was just fine with being the single dude of his friendship group.
Lip Gallagher
There is no denying the genius of this kid. Lip Gallagher is one of the brightest kids in his low income community, though due to his upbringing, he has never been able to use his mind to its fullest extend. He is one of six siblings and since he is one of the eldest, he is often forced to use his time to either babysit or work odd jobs to earn cash for the family. His parents are rarely around, so the majority of the work falls to Lip and his older sister. Can anyone figure out which show we are talking about?
Rick Grimes
It is true that we have seen several characters who have had a hard go of things in this quiz already, but none more so than Rick Grimes. Before his accident, Rick was part of his town's police force. He was good at his job, but he was not able to avoid the bullet that put him into a coma. After waking from his coma, the world was not at all how he remembered it. He found himself completely alone in an abandoned hospital, and what he found outside was even more worrisome. It seemed as though the world had ended due to a zombie apocalypse. Yikes!
Sheldon Cooper
When it comes to science and comic books, there is nothing Sheldon Cooper does not already know. However, when it comes to social interactions and basic life skills, he knows absolutely nothing. All of his life, Sheldon was the smartest guy in the room. Not only was he aware of this fact, but he also liked making sure everyone else was aware of it too. Once moving into an apartment with a fellow genius, Sheldon slowly but surely began learning what it meant to share a space and create a bond with a fellow human. Match Sheldon to his series!
Jax Teller
Jax had sent his entire life trying to live up to his father's expectations. That being said, he never stopped to wonder whether or not these expectations were actually worth living up to. Jax was part of the same biker gang his father had been part of. He truly believed that he along with his brothers in leather, would do absolutely anything for their biker family. However, after so many years of violence, Jax finally began to consider whether or not he was living his best life. His goal changed from wanting to protect his gang, to wanting to protect his children from his gang.
Ted Mosby
Ted Mosby is a true romantic. Throughout his 20s and most of his 30s, he spent the majority of his time looking for his soulmate. This meant many relationships with women who turned out not to be his soulmate, but it was all in the name of true love! His two best friends had the kind of relationship he had always dreamed of, and it was them who always encouraged him to keep looking. By the end of his series, we finally saw him find his Mrs. Right. It was a long wait, but the ride was half the fun.
Robb Stark
Here is another one we are assuming many will be able to guess fairly quickly. Robb Stark was the first born son of the famous Ned Stark. His father had been a legend of a warrior and had years worth of battle stories. After his father was betrayed and ultimately lost his life as a result, Robb decided to take up arms against everyone who had been involved. Robb was younger than anyone else fighting in the war, but he remained committed to the cause. He could have very well won the whole thing, if he hadn't let love stand in the way.
Barry Allen
It is hard to say what would have become of Barry Allen if his childhood had not gone the way it had. When he was just a boy, he witnessed the loss of his mother. While local authorities believed it was his father who had commited the crime, Barry knew this was not true. He had seen with his own eyes that it was some strange man with super powers who had done it. Though this story would have been hard to believe even if it wasn't a kid telling it. Luckily for Barry, he grew up and acquired his own super powers.
Archie Andrews
If the name and red hair seems familiar to anyone, that is because Archie Andrews is in fact the same character from the comic books. However, this version of Archie is a tad bit darker than the one depicted in the animated series. In season one of this show, Archie was just an average high school kid trying to decide between music and football. That being said, now that a few seasons have passed, Archie is in all kinds of trouble and his worries over football have long since been surpassed by greater concerns. So, can anyone name this series?
June Osborne
First and foremost, June Osborne is a fighter. Nothing about her situation has been easy, but she has shown tremendous strength and courage throughout it. A few years back, June witnessed the fall of her country. The government was overrun by religious fanatics, and June along with every other fertile woman, was gathered up and tagged like cattle. These women were told that their job was now to carry children for the "important" families. Clearly these are very trying times, but June has never lost hope that her time for payback will come. Does anyone here know what series we are talking about?
Miranda Bailey
Miranda bailey is one heck of a surgeon. Before becoming the Chief of Surgery herself, she trained under the previous holder of the position. She has spent years working at the same hospital, and has gained respect from every other employee there. When it came time for her to take over as chief, there was not an individual who argued the decision. She is a happily married woman, with one child. Her husband was at one time a fellow surgeon, but has since switched specialties and is now working as a firefighter. Talk about a power couple! Name the show!
Ari Gold
It is hard to say whether Ari Gold is a good guy or a bad guy on his show. We guess it would all depend which character we were to ask. He is a talent manager in Hollywood, and he has done an excellent job at managing the success of the show's main character. That being said, he is rude, loud, and not exactly a tolerant person. By the end of his series though, he did seem to make amends with almost everyone he had ever had beef with. Character development anyone? Who here can place him to the correct show?
Rachel Berry
While we are certain that Rachel Berry had some fans out there, we are also certain that there is a large number of people who were never won over by this character. During the first few seasons of her show, Rachel Berry was attending high school, where she had real trouble making friends. She believed this was due to the other kids not understanding her talent and potential, but it was more about her being an unbearable know-it-all who always had to be right. We saw Rachel Berry cry on many occasions, though this almost always happened while she was singing her heart out.
Jack Pearson
The first thing we must state about Jack Pearson, is that he was a great father and a loving husband. Sure he had his flaws (who doesn't), but when push came to shove, he was always right there for his family. He worked very hard to supply for his wife and three children, and he always managed to ensure everyone had what they needed. He was not lucky enough to be able to watch his children grow into adults, but he was around long enough for each of them to hold fond memories of their father. Name this TV show!
Penelope Garcia
Penelope Garcia is one smart cookie! While she never finished her college degree, after she dropped out, she continued learning how to code computers on her own. Since she learned how to do this in an unconventional way, she acquired a few skills that would not have been taught in school. She quickly became one of the most dangerous hackers in the country. Once the FBI got a tip as to what she was capable of, they offered her a job. Truly wanting to do some good, she accepted the position. Does anyone know which of these shows is correct?
Nate Archibald
Nate Archibald was raised among the rich and the fabulous. His mother's side of the family has a ton of old money, as they basically run The Upper East Side of Manhattan. However, his father has done an excellent job at dragging the family name through the mud. After his father betrayed the family, Nate and his mother became closer with her side of the family. Nate was young then and did not really understand the full extend of the situation. While he has made friends with some questionable people over the years, Nate has always been a good guy himself.
Jim Gordon
Jim Gordon is currently working as the captain of his police force. When his series first started, he was only a detective. He had grown up in the city he now protects, though he had left for an extended period of time before coming back to join the police force. When he originally decided to return to his hometown, he was surprised at what it had turned into. The streets were littered with criminals, and it seemed like no one was doing anything to catch them. Once Jim was on the squad though, his number one goal became to return his town to its former glory.
Leslie Knope
There is not a person alive who is more committed to their job than Leslie Knope. She works in local government, and while her colleagues do not believe there is any good that can be done from their positions, Leslie does not buy it for a minute. Even with all of the red tape and regulations, Leslie truly believes that she is capable of making a difference in her small town. She may only be after getting a few parks installed, but at least she is after something! Is anyone here familiar with Leslie Knope? Which series does she belong to?
Emma Swan
For most of her life, Emma Swan had been alone. She was found on the side of a highway when she was just a baby, and she spent the rest of her childhood bouncing around the foster system. Once she was old enough to make it on her own, she had a brief run in with the law and was locked up, though afterwards she managed to turn things around by becoming a bounty hunter. It was not until the son she had once given up for adoption found her, that she finally felt as though she had a connection to somebody else.
Luke Danes
Luke Danes is a stand-up kind of guy. He is a man of comforts and he can have a wicked temper. That being said, whenever his friends and family need him, he is always there to take the call. After losing his father, Luke decided to turn his hardware shop into a diner. Luke wanted to keep the business going, but was a much better cook than he was a handyman. His diner is now the go-to lunch spot in town for most of the locals, even though his grumpy service is often mentioned by his customers. Name this series!
Justin Foley
Justin Foley comes from a similar situation as Lip did. While he is an only child, his mother was never really a parent to him. As a high school student, Justin began living in the pool house of his wealthy best friend. For a good while Justin believed this was the best situation for himself, but after realizing who his best friend truly was deep down, Justin began to question his allegiance to him. Justin has since left the pool house, and has taken to life out on the streets. It has not been easy, and that is putting it lightly.
Michael Scott
When it comes to bosses, Michael Scott is the very best. Sure maybe not all of his employees would attest to this, but audiences of his show would surely agree with the statement. Michael Scott was the manager of a local business in his hometown of Scranton. He had been promoted from salesman to manager, and to Michael, there was no greater honor in the world. His management techniques were certainly original, but when the numbers were looked at, Michael's branch always came out on top. Is anyone here familiar with this character? Here we have another kid who was born with above average intelligence. While Mike Ross had always been top of his class, he chose not to follow an academic path. Before getting caught for his wrong doings though, Mike befriended a high-paid lawyer who decided to take him under his wing. Their father had planned on waiting before informing them of their destiny, but given the circumstances, he decided to let them in on the secret early. As it turned out, the world was full of all kinds of demons and wicked forces who wished nothing but harm upon the human race. Ezra Fitz has made some questionable choices throughout his life. He was born into an extremely wealthy family, though he did not wish to be like anyone else in the clan. Throughout history, we have heard many spooky stories of both vampires and werewolves. Niklaus Mikaelson however, is the first ever hybrid of these two beasts. Clearly this makes him one dangerous dude. He loves knowing how much power he has, even though he chooses to only talk to a handful of people about it. He is very secretive and trusts virtually no one. That being said, he does have a taste for mischief. He enjoys causing trouble, mainly because he knows he can get away with it. Conrad Hawkins
Conrad Hawkins is a senior resident and he really does know good medicine. While he is fully qualified to diagnose and treat, he still has issues trusting his patients. Conrad has seen both the good and the bad that can come from practicing medicine, and while he desperately tries to stay on the good side of the line, sometimes it's easier said than done. At times, it is hard for Conrad to see the hospital system as anything other than a business, simply because that is how his superiors treat it. John Nolan
John Nolan is a man who has been very patient over the years. In the very first episode of his series, we learn that he has just divorced his wife. It is made clear that they had wanted the divorce for years, but had waited until their only son left the house. We also learn early on that he had given up his dreams back when his ex-wife had originally gotten pregnant. All of that being said, John in now divorced and he is going after everything he gave up years ago. That means, he is officially the oldest cop on a squad of newbies!
Danny Castellano
Here we have another character who we saw change drastically over the course of his series. Danny Castellano was never a bad guy, but he was standoffish and not openly friendly to anyone. He was an OB-GYN at a private clinic, where the rest of our main characters worked as well. While it did not happen right away, Danny did eventually start a loving relationship with the show's leading lady. The relationship lasted for quite some time, and they even had a baby together. Even once they had ended things, the show did make it seem like there was unfinished business there.
Vanya Hargreeves
Vanya Hargreeves never exactly had it easy. She was adopted by a wealthy man when she was just a baby, and she became instant siblings with 6 other adopted babies. It was discovered over time, that each of her siblings had amazing powers, while Vanya did not. Her father never missed an opportunity to tell her just how ordinary she was. John Dorian
John Dorian is yet another medical professional. He was once employed as a doctor of medicine, but has since taken on the job of Residency Director at a different hospital. He is a married man, and has two children. While other medical shows may rely heavily on the drama that circles hospitals, John Dorian and the rest of his crew always found a way to have a laugh. Their show was much more lighthearted than others of the same genre. Most of this lightheartedness came directly from John, as he was not only the main character but an overall funny guy as well.
Jeff Winger
While Jeff Winger may have never served hard time for his lies, he has been sentenced to a different kind of punishment. After it was discovered that he had faked his way through law school, he was let go from his high paying law firm and told by the state that if he ever wished to practice law again, he would have to redo his degree. Well, since he didn't do it properly the first time, they should have realized he wasn't going to the second time around either. Jeff signed up for community college, and while he isn't enjoying it, we wouldn't say he is learning much either.
Liz Lemon
Liz Lemon is a very bright woman and a talented writer. That being said, she is also somewhat of a geek and has trouble in social situations. While her social skills have improved over the course of the series, she is still viewed as someone who is a bit quirky. She is currently employed as the head writer for a sketch comedy show, as well as the host of her very own show. She has a habit of overeating when stressful situations come up, but who doesn't indulge when times get rough, right? Can anyone pick out the correct show?
Lisa Cuddy
Back when her show first got started, Lisa Cuddy was the woman in charge at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. Not only was she a very skilled doctor, but her administrative skills allowed her to be a great chief for the hospital as well. She spent about 7 years in this position, while the main character of the show worked beneath her. We wouldn't say they had the best relationship, she did allow him quite a few luxuries since he was a brilliant doctor. Once their relationship came to a boiling point, she opted to leave her job and the hospital behind.
Lindsay Bluth Fünke
This woman is all kinds of shallow. While she is married and a mother to one child, she would gladly turn them both in for a pair of designer heels. To be fair, Lindsay grew up with everything handed to her. The rest of her family is just as dysfunctional because of their upbringing, though Lindsay does bring the the term "superficial" to a whole new level. We have seen her come close to leaving her husband on many occasions, though she usually has a change of heart once she gets turned down by some other man. Name this show!
Kate Austen
Kate Austen has lead one heck of a life. She grew up in a small town with her mother, and unfortunately had to witness her make some poor dating decisions. While trying to save her mother from a dangerous relationship, Kate managed to turn herself into a wanted criminal. She spent many years on the run, but her past eventually caught up to her. While on the flight leading her to her future as an inmate, the plane crash landed and Kate wound up on a strange island. Good news was, nobody on this island knew she was a criminal.
Eleanor Shellstrop
While she was alive, Eleanor did not lead a very righteous life. She was rude, selfish, and cared very little for the people around her. Because of all this, when her time finally came, she was rightfully not going to be placed in heaven. However, due to a clerical error, she was allowed passed the pearly gates. Knowing full well that she is not supposed to be there, Eleanor now has to figure out how to be a kind person or risk everyone finding out the truth about who she really is. Dee Reynolds
While she may look like a beautiful lady who has her life together, this is not exactly the truth. Dee Reynolds is a beautiful woman, but nothing about her life is "together". She works at a bar owned by her brother and a few of his friends, and their working dynamic is dysfunctional to say the least. Instead of stressing over business, Dee and her friends spend most of their time coming up with childish games and competitions. Most of these schemes involve them drinking their own product, meaning they are never actually making any money off of their business.
Cordelia Chase
We have seen plenty on mean girls on television and in movies, but none of them have ever been quite as mean as Cordelia Chase. When her show started, she was a high school student. Strange things would often happen to the students of her school, and Cordelia was always there to make a rude comment about the scenario. That being said, when it was her life on the line, her attitude changed quite a bit. As much as she liked to pick on those who normally saved the day, she knew she had to play nice if she wanted them to save her too.
Steve Harrington
In Season 1 of his series, Steve Harrington was just an average boy living in the 80s. He was friends with the wrong crowd, but he learned his lesson once they showed him their true colors. Steve did his very best to be a good boyfriend and a good person, but the events taking place in his town really made these things hard to do. With all kinds of scary monsters running through town, Steve has kind of become the guardian of the local children. It wasn't the job he was looking for, but someone had to step up to do it!
Claire Fraser
Once the Second World War had ended, Claire thought her life would finally return to normal. She had been working as a nurse in the war, and her husband had been fighting in it. Now that they were reunited and peace had come, they decided to head off on an adventure through Scotland. While exploring the Highlands, Claire touched a large stone and was immediately sent back in time to 1743. She was now stuck in this era, and she knew all too well of what the future had in store for those living in Scotland at this given time.
Betty Draper
Back when Betty was younger, she had a bright future ahead of her. She was born to loving parents and had one brother. She was very beautiful, a trait she used to pursue a modeling profession. She spent several years modeling in Italy, but eventually decided to try her luck in New York City. It was not long after her move to the city that she met her future husband Don. While their relationship was nothing but love when it first began, after two children and a number of other women, Betty lost all hope that she would ever love her husband again.
Guinevere Beck
Guinevere Beck was never one of the rich kids, but she did have a real knack for becoming friends with the kids who did have money. She liked the idea of surrounding herself with important people. She was an aspiring writer, but had trouble following through with most of her work. While in a book shop, she met Joe. She believed Joe to be a friend, but he was in fact a stalker who was becoming more and more obsessed with her every day. She remained oblivious to this for a very long time, which wound up being her ultimate downfall.
Berta
We actually do not have a last name for this character, so everyone will have to just go with "Berta" for this one. During her series, Berta was the housekeeper for the Harper family. She was not exactly great at her job, but she was a constant for the family. She would often find the boys of the house making large messes, which she always refused to clean up.
