There's probably no better medical drama out there than Grey's Anatomy. Season one of this amazing TV series was released more than ten years ago, all the way back in 2005. And yet it's still going strong. That makes perfect sense: the plot line of this show is intriguing, the characters realistic and the dialogue both witty and thought-provoking.
As most people are probably well aware, Grey's Anatomy focuses on the professional and personal lives of surgical interns, attending physicians, residents, nurses, and patients. The plot of this show centers on a woman who starts off as an intern at Seattle Grace Hospital. Slowly but surely she rises through the ranks. At the moment she is the Head of General Surgery and the winner of the prestigious (but fictional) Harper Avery Award.
Over the years Grey's Anatomy has been nominated for nine Golden Globe Awards (it won two) and as many as 40 Primetime Emmy Awards (it won four), many of them in the category of outstanding actor or actress. We can't say that we're surprised. But here's the thing - only true Grey's Anatomy fans stand a chance in acing this quiz!

He found employment at Seattle Grace Hospital and quickly fell in love with the show's protagonist.
Name this ambitious doctor.
Most fans will probably agree that this character was hands down the best character on the entire show. This character was one of the original interns. She was incredibly ambitious and wanted nothing more than to become the best surgeon in her field. At the start of the show she was romantically involved with her then boss. Their relationship was rather strange, not least because they had very little in common. Still, that did not stop them from getting engaged. Indeed, nowadays he is one of our favorite doctors. In the early seasons he fell for his colleague and the two ended up getting married. However, things didn't really work out that well for them - she got sick and even though they got through it she blamed him for sabotaging her professional life. Naturally, he was hurt and asked her to leave, which she did. He got his happy ending though - he is currently married to another surgeon.

Towards the end of her life she developed Alzheimer's and passed away from a heart attack after surgery. She used to work as a nurse at Seattle Grace Hospital. She was a strong woman and loved her husband very much. In fact, she refused to leave her husband even though she knew that he was seeing other women behind her back. Her loyalty paid off in the end, but only partially - he came back to her but seemed to always prioritize his work before her.

Once her husband found out that she wasn't loyal to him he couldn't even look at her. He left, hoping to start a new life in Seattle. Name this heart patient.
Unlike most characters on this quiz, the man in the image above was not a surgeon. Rather, he was a patient at Seattle Grace Hospital (as might be obvious from the image alone). He was a heart patient who fell in love with one of his doctors. The doctor was not indifferent to him either and broke countless rules to get him a heart transplant. Unfortunately, even though the surgery was successful this character did not make it, leaving his doctor (and by then, fiance) inconsolable. He did, however, leave her all his money (he was a wealthy man) and appeared to her in ghost form (which made her realize that she was sick).

She also tried to attend as many surgeries as possible so as to give advice but was shut-out by the attendings who thought that she was overstepping. She was later fired for her robotic behavior.
Name this doctor.
This character was one of our favorite doctors on the show hence why we were pretty upset when she left at the end of season six. She was friendly and compassionate. This character once fell for one of her patients and was inconsolable when he passed away (they were going to get married and all). In fact, the two went traveling together after graduating (but got into a fight in Amsterdam). Obviously the protagonist was not willing to go that far for friendship and before long this character had left Seattle.

It did not come to that however because the surgeon that made the appeal to the hospital proposed that they get married solely for her insurance. He agreed and with time they developed actual feelings for one another. Of course, as we know from watching Grey's Anatomy, doctor-patient relationships never work out. This one was no exception.
